The Goal: create an in-person Workshop to help ad parteners design for pinterest

As the number of advertisers on Pinterest has grown significantly, it became essential to reassess our previous business model and shift towards designing advertiser Pins in-house. To support this transition, we initiated a strategy to empower advertisers with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, encapsulated in the concept of teaching them to “fish.”

The Execution: The Workshop Format

Our innovative offering, the Pin Creation Workshops, has proven to be an effective solution. These workshops consist of:

  • An interactive 4-hour session that covers Pinterest Creative best practices

  • 15 custom, ready-to-promote Pin templates

  • A post-workshop consultation to further refine and enhance their advertising efforts

The Results:

Highlights from a recent Hilton Pin Creation Workshop illustrate the value of this initiative. Throughout the session, I guided the client through best practices, while also showcasing my own design work, creating a dynamic and engaging experience. Additionally, I was responsible for designing all the collateral utilized during these workshops.

To date, I have successfully conducted workshops for a variety of notable clients, including: Hilton, Trunk Club, The Home Depot, Happiest Baby, Walgreens, KitchenAid, Allstate, all who still use the templates we have created for them to drive successful Pin campaigns.

This approach not only empowers advertisers but also helps them create effective Pins that resonate with their target audiences.
